Who we are & what we do:
Welcome to our spot of paradise. We call it Odonata Farm.
Together here on the farm we host artists/dancers in residence in our country-cathedral-esque big ole red barn loft with our neighbors -Trillium Arts. We hold arts & antiques markets, a few field concerts, host a few small and special weddings a year, & find our sanity gardening.
Sarahbeth, (hi, it’s me!) has been a women’s apparel designer and creator for well on over 20 years. I work out of my studio which we converted from two stalls in our big red barn. I also travel internationally teaching women how to design and sew clothes that fit their bodies. You can find that work here.
My better half, Gracia has spent their life working in environmental sustainability.
On this farmplace website you’ll find photos of our historic barn & gardens, and possibly invitations to things like: small arts faires, field concerts, invitations to our design studio, farmer’s bounty vegetable markets, or summer garden tours.
There's a magical vacation cottage, an orchard being planted, a barn studio, and I'm pretty sure there's a hand whittled boat with blue heron mast being designed for my pond, no, I hear that's only in my head.... (for now). Stop by and say hi.
This website is a place to share some photos and a few items of interest and availability with you, dear reader.
Till next time,
-Sb, G & our mutt, a renegade “domesticated” farm bunny, a mess of barn swallows, and more dragonflies & damselflies than you can shake a stick at, hence: Odonata.
P.S. Paradise takes a lot of work.
I see a lot of folks in Australia doing this - and dang, I like that Aussie spirit & I like accountability so:
We acknowledge the Cherokee people. This small farm is on land which they hunted, traveled, & stewarded. We live in traditional Cherokee territory.
